"You're awful!"
She scrunches her eyebrows in confusion, eyes staring worriedly at the boy before her. She watches as tears started to fall from his eyes, anger swirling vividly in them.
"Max, what's wrong?" She reached out her hands, wanting to wipe his tears away.
"Don't!" He swats her hand away, wiping his tears. "Please, just don't. Don't touch me." His words became softer as if he was drained from his emotional state.
"I don't- I can't do this anymore, Leah." He sobbed, eyes looking down at his feet. "I just- It hurts."
"What hurts?"
"THIS!"
The boy, Max, pants heavily, trying to calm his breath and mind. "I- Loving you. It hurts. It hurts bad."
"Why?"
"I don't know. It just hurts and not in a good way. Leah... I- I don't think I love you anymore."
Gasping awake, Leah sat up on her bed while panting heavily. Cold sweat glides down her back, soaking her white t-shirt.
Another dream. The same kind. This time, it's that boy from high school.
Even after she reached adulthood, she'd never found the joy of having a lover. All her times falling for someone would only end up in her being scarred again and again.
Turning on her phone to look at the time, she noticed the date and a frown formed on her lips.
19th September 2017. 08:54 a.m.
Sighing, she leaps out of her bed, rushing towards her bathroom. Staring at her mirror, she frowns upon seeing dark bags hanging under her eyes.
At least, I'm not dead from lack of sleep. She snorts, amused at her thoughts. Quickly rubbing her body dry, Leah dresses her self casually before walking out of her apartment, deciding to buy something on her way to uni.
The chime of a small bell welcomed her as she steps into the store. Ignoring the greeting the worker muttered, she walks over towards the row that displays a variety of bread. Each with different flavors, some with one that she questionably thought would be delicious.
Walking further down the aisle, she spots the one she's looking for. Banana bread. Her lips unconsciously quirked upwards at the thought of the sweet, banana-flavored bread. However, upon reaching for the bread, another hand brush against her in an attempt to reach the same thing.
Both stopped their movements, frozen in surprise. Leah glance at the owner of the other hand.
A male, slightly taller than her. Her eyes widen a fraction when her eyes clash against his. Mesmerizing brown orbs staring back at her.
"-iss? Miss?"
