“Mom! C’mon let’s go!” a cheerful voice said by a boy.
“Jeez, can’t you wait Ben? I need to prepare my stuff, it’s dangerous out there” said Darla Walker, Ben’s mother. Out there, it’s more dangerous with robbers and criminals having weapons and also the animals and the factions that exist across the nation.
100-200 years ago, the USA declared on Russia due to Russia creating new nukes to threaten the USA with. The USA was under-powered in firepower and vehicles But the USA has created a drug/serum that boosts endurance, speed, and perception for a temporary amount of time but causes death if you overdose it. As the war continues, the USA has found a way to make it permanent and changed it into a gas but it causes forced evolution on the user resulting in death so they were going to use it as a last resort. Sadly they were outnumbered and they were going to use it on their soldiers, but even though they boost their soldiers, they weren’t going to have enough soldiers to defeat them. So they discussed it and risked it, releasing it into the wild hoping to kill the Russians and it did. Causing millions of death and evolving animals in the wild. So it brings us into today.
“But we have guards so we’re always safe right mom?” Ben said naively, not knowing what’s out there, only seeing the dangers in the books.
“Well Ben, it’s better to be safe and sorry, you know what happened to your father.” said Darla. Ben’s father didn’t bring a weapon when he went outside which resulted in his death. After she said that, she brought her .357 Magnum and 9mm then went outside with Ben.
