Ugh! A bright light shone into my eyes, waking me up. I found myself in a small prison that could only hold one person, and both of my hands were handcuffed. Not just one, but small cells were lined up beside and in front of me as well. I was reminded of the previous incident, where someone drugged me on my way home from the market. Gah! It seemed like someone was kidnapping me and taking me to a strange place! Damn it!
I saw a brownish-black male cat-human, who seemed to be the same age as me, in the prison room in front of mine. Both of his hands were cuffed, just like mine. It seemed like he was still unconscious. Then I turned my gaze to the cell next to mine, and found another white male cat-human. He was also still unconscious with his hands cuffed.
Not wanting to wake them, I turned my attention to look out the window of my cell. I found only the moon shrouded by the dark sky outside. Geez, how long had I been asleep?!
"Ugh.... I..., where am I?"
My ears caught the voice of a black-skinned Ningeko with long black shoulder-length hair from the cell in front of me. Oh, you're awake! "Hey..., hey. Are you awake?" I asked to make sure, but in a low tone.
The black Ningeko did not answer. She looked scared when she found both her hands cuffed and in an iron cage. "This ..., where is this?! Someone ..., someone ..., help me!" she screamed hysterically.
"Oi..., oi..., oooi.... Don't be noisy! You'll attract people's attention here," I said in a low tone.
The black cat man suddenly fell silent and sobbed. Meanwhile, in the next cell, there was a white-skinned, waist-length haired Ningeko who seemed to be the same age as me who also woke up. After checking the situation and finding herself imprisoned with both hands cuffed, she just cursed in annoyance. "Tch! Why am I here?! Just watch, I'll beat up whoever dares to mess with me!" I think this incident happened only a few hours ago.
"Oi..., oi..., you two. Calm down!" I said to calm the situation down. Then the two cat people looked at me, then the white Ningeko said in annoyance.
"Are you stupid?! How can I be calm being imprisoned like this?!" White said with his fangs showing.
I just took a deep breath. Damn, I really wanted to punch this white cat kid in the face! His cocky attitude made me sick! However, I must not be provoked so that the situation does not get more chaotic. After my feelings calmed down a bit, I said again, "You two, don't talk too much. Who knows, one of the kidnappers might come and beat us up."
They were silent for a moment. The black cat just wiped away his tears, while the white one just growled angrily. I just controlled my irregular breathing to calm my mind. In the midst of a critical situation like this, things would get more complicated if I didn't face it with a cool head. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, and felt my mind clear a little.
"By the way, can I know your names?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Diamond," the white cat man answered briefly, but in an arrogant tone.
Grr! If only I could get out of here, I would beat your face up. You damn Diamond! However, I didn't want to make things worse, and decided to keep quiet. I turned to the black cat and asked, "What's your name?"
"Ku—Kuro..." he answered weakly and sobbed a little.
"Diamond and Kuro, huh...?" I muttered softly as I nodded. Then I added, "Let me introduce myself, I'm Diego Von Deen."
Diamond instantly widened his eyes and opened his mouth wide. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. "What, Von Deen?! Don't tell me that you..., you are the son of His Highness Hendrick Von Deen?!"
